Let’s all learn how to fold forward!
This week, we can celebrate Passover by seeking freedom from bondage and softening our hearts.
This week, it’s time to explore the hips:
Or, we could just do it the Yankee way:
This week, we’ll look at the asanas that comprise the Moon and Sun Salutations.
This week, let’s look for balance.
Just a techie article about some new shoes, but this passage caught my attention:
The French cyclist Jean Bobet once wrote about ecstatic athletic experience, a state that American athletes might call the zone but Bobet calls la Volupté. It is “delicate, intimate and ephemeral. It arrives, it takes hold of you, sweeps you up and then leaves you again. It is for you alone. It is a combination of speed and ease, force and grace. It is pure happiness.”
I certainly don’t get that when I run (mostly, I just get winded), but that is exactly the feeling I get from a nice sequence of Vinyasa Yoga Poses.
By freeing the shoulders, we seek understanding and wisdom (also, maybe we can learn to shrug off the world, at least for a little while).
This week we work on twisting.
